Commanders vs. Giants Week 5 inactives: Is Terry McLaurin active?
The Washington Commanders released their Week 5 inactive list for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, with no surprises.
On Friday’s final injury report, Washington ruled out six players. The Commanders added two players on Saturday, bringing the total to eight. However, defensive end Deatrich Wise was activated from the PUP (physically unable to perform) list and taken off the injury report. He will play for the first time since tearing his quad against Green Bay in Week 2 last season.
Washington received good news last week when quarterback Jayden Daniels returned to practice and is a full-go for Sunday. After being listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report, star wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) is active and will play. The Commanders are already without fellow starting wideout Stefon Diggs (hamstring).
Here are Washington’s inactives for Week 5:
- WR Stefon Diggs
- S Nick Cross
- S Percy Butler
- G Tanoa Togiai
- QB Marcus Mariota
- DE Charles Omenihu
- S Tyler Owens
To combat the injuries, Washington elevated wide receiver Van Jefferson and safety Darren Hall from the practice squad for this game. Rookie seventh-round pick Athan Kaliakmanis is Daniels’ backup with Mariota sidelined. Kaliakmanis received his first NFL snaps last week.
Here are the inactive players for the New York Giants:
- RB Devin Singletary
- OL J.C. Davis
- DL Bobby Jamison-Travis
- S Jason Pinnock
- CB Nikko Reed
- QB Jake Haener (3rd QB)
