Commanders TE Chig Okonwo departs game vs. Eagles with injury
Commanders tight end Chig Okonkwo has been listed as questionable to return with a hamstring injury in Washington’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Okonkwo, in his first season with the Commanders after spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans, recorded two receptions for 16 yards before exiting. His longest catch went for 15 yards, the second-longest reception of the day for Washington behind Antonio Williams’ 33-yard grab.

Okonkwo has yet to return for Washington. The Commanders are using Ben Sinnott and John Bates as the primary tight ends in his absence. Bates and Okonkwo each have two receptions in the game thus far.
