Colorado State sets multiple program attendance records in Border War

Colorado State‘s 2026 season-opening crowd set a couple program records.

The Rams announced an attendance of 40,548 for the Sept. 5 Border War game against rival Wyoming. CSU won 35-13.

It sets a CSU record for largest crowd in a home game, surpassing the previous high set on homecoming of 2025 against Hawaii.

CSU also says there were 17,573 student tickets claimed, which is a program record.

Eight of the top 10 CSU attendance marks have come at Canvas Stadium (which opened in 2017).

Capacity for Canvas Stadium is 36,500 seated and 41,000 standing room.

Here are CSU’s top-10 home single-game attendance marks:

1. 40,548: Sept. 5, 2026 (35-13 win over Wyoming)
