Clemson offers 5-star wide receiver, shifting focus to 2028 recruiting class

One of the nation’s top wide receiver prospects is now on Clemson football’s recruiting board.

Five-star receiver Braylon Clark announced Saturday on social media that he has received an offer from the Tigers. Clark, who plays at Providence Day in Charlotte, North Carolina, is rated as the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2028 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

It’s easy to see why Clemson is interested. Clark already holds offers from several of college football’s biggest programs, including Oregon, Ohio State, Tennessee and Alabama, and his recruitment is expected to draw plenty of attention over the next few years.

The talented pass catcher recently transferred to Providence Day from Charlotte Country Day. The school has become a familiar one for Clemson fans, as both Gordon Sellars and Leo Delaney played for Providence Day before signing with the Tigers’ 2026 recruiting class.

While Clemson remains focused on finishing out its 2027 recruiting efforts, offers like this are a reminder that the Tigers are beginning to turn some attention toward the 2028 cycle as well. It’s still extremely early in Clark’s recruitment, but Clemson is making sure it has a seat at the table for one of the most highly regarded prospects in the country.

Given the talent already assembled in Clark’s offer list, the competition won’t be easy. Still, the Tigers have made an early move for one of the top players in the 2028 class, and another talented Providence Day prospect is now firmly on Clemson’s recruiting radar.
