Christie cup hat-trick helps earn Rose first win as Bournemouth boss

Ryan Christie hit a hat-trick as Marco Rose celebrated his first win as Bournemouth boss with a 4-0 demolition of Lincoln in the League Cup third round.

Substitute Rayan completed the scoring against the Championship side at the Vitality Stadium.

Joe Willock‘s late goal sent Newcastle United into the fourth round as they scraped a 1-0 victory away to second-tier Millwall.

The Magpies, who won the competition in 2025, were given a fright just before going ahead when a shot from Lions winger Tairyk Arconte hit a post.

Jorgen Strand Larsen struck twice to propel Crystal Palace to a 3-0 success over Middlesbrough at Selhurst Park.

Strand Larsen nodded home in each half before substitute Daichi Kamada lobbed Boro goalkeeper Sol Brynn to seal victory.

Chemsdine Talbi scored the only goal to earn Sunderland a 1-0 win against Premier League rivals Hull at the Stadium of Light.

Bradford came from behind to win 3-1 at fellow League One club Leyton Orient. Goals from Will Swan, Stephen Humphrys and Nick Powell overturned a Macaulay Gillesphey own goal.
