Chiefs vs Colts: Underrated WRs give KC huge boost on 'SNF' in Week 2

The Kansas City Chiefs struck quickly coming out of halftime in their Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at Arrowhead Stadium.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes seemingly found his stride in the second half of the Chiefs’ ‘Sunday Night Football’ tilt with Indianapolis, finding two underrated wide receivers in big moments during the third quarter.

After narrowly converting a fourth down on their first drive, Mahomes aired it out to wide receiver Tyquan Thornton for a 45-yard completion to set up a first-and-goal. Then, the two-time MVP connected with second-year wideout Jalen Royals for a one-yard touchdown pass.

While Mahomes’ touchdown pass to Royals gave Kansas City a lead over the Colts, the former Texas Tech Red Raider’s work is far from over.
