The Addicks announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website yesterday.

The 25-year-old joins Charlton Athletic from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF. Bouma has signed a three-year deal with the South East Londoners.

Bouma started her senior career in her native Iceland with HK/Víkingur before enjoying spells with Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur and Víkingur Reykjavík. The player joined latest club Kristianstads DFF ahead of the 2026 OBOS Damallsvenskan season.

On the international stage, Bouma has been capped by Iceland on four occasions in which she has scored one goal. She made her senior international debut for her country earlier this year.

After sealing her move to Charlton Athletic, Boama said “I’m super-happy. It’s always been a dream to play in the WSL, so I’m happy to be here.

“[I’m known for my] hard work, and most of all, I’m a fast and strong player, so I’m always able to show those attributes on the pitch.”

Bouma is Charlton Athletic’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window. The Addicks’ squad is now nearing completion ahead of their debut season in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
