Charlie Woods missed the 54-hole cut at the Junior PGA Championship, ending a disappointing week in Texas.

Woods, the Benjamin senior and son of Tiger Woods, shot a 5-over 77 during Thursday’s third round on the PGA Frisco Fields Ranch East Course. That gave him a 3-day total 6-over 222 after rounds of 75, 70 and 77.

A year ago, Woods finished tied for ninth at the Junior PGA Championship. But it’s been a tough summer for the Florida State commit. Besides failing to reach the final round at the Junior PGA, Woods failed to advance into match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur last week after rallying in the second round to reach the playoff, and earlier this summer he also failed to qualify for next month’s U.S. Amateur.

On the first hole of his Junior Amateur playoff match against Eli Wessel and Hudson Kutchma, Woods was about to take his third shot out of the rough when video captured a camera clicking in the background. Woods could be seen visibly frustrated as his ball headed toward the green.

Woods dropped his club in exasperation. “Really, dude?” he said afterward. “I mean, come on.”

Needing a birdie on the hole to stay alive, Woods made a bogey and was eliminated.
