Chancellor begins to deliver his first Budget
Chancellor John Healey began his speech by calling his first Budget one for the “working people of Britain, for British businesses big and small”.
The Budget is built on “fiscal discipline” and will give Britain some “breathing space”, the chancellor said in Parliament on Wednesday.
