This book – which focuses on the era from 1889 to 1902 – is the first in a two-part series with the second part (1914-1977) out next year.

Numerous anecdotes fill the pages, including the mystery of what happened to Celtic’s first trophy or why the club owns a prize that names only Rangers as winners.

You can also learn about the time the Bhoys became ‘world champions’ (sort of…) or learn about how war and Celtic Park renovations were the backdrop for a different type of league title.

This series has been written by Celtic researcher and writer Matthew Marr, who has written numerous articles for us on both The Celtic Star and now Celtic Shorts and appears on various podcasts telling Celtic’s story.

Matthew also runs the outstanding and always free Celtic history walking tours where you get fitness and facts about the club we all love.
