Cast your vote for The Gardner News Baseball Player of the Year

The Gardner News recapped the spring season and took a look at the top players from each team that helped make an impact on the field.

Check out the nominees for Baseball Player of the Year and vote for who you think deserves the honor.

Reader votes will make up 25% of the tally, with Sports Reporter Cait Kemp making up the rest of the vote.

The poll will run until June 24 at noon.

Adams was a top contributor for the Panthers. He had a batting average of .447 and finished with 21 hits and 15 RBIs.

Beauregard was a force for the Wildcats’ successful season and was a major part of their first playoff win in 13 years. He was 7-2 on the mound with a 2.57 ERA and 52 strikeouts.

He also was one of the team’s top hitters, with a .500 average, 26 hits, 14 RBIs and 23 runs scored.

Byars was named a CMAC all-star for his performance this season. He had a .379 batting average, 25 hits, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored this spring.

Here are the Gardner area softball stars who shined the brightest in 2026

Denio-O’Connor served as a senior captain for the Warriors this season. He was a leader at both the plate and on the mound, earning a .340 batting average, 10 RBIs and 22 stolen bases, and finishing 4-1 with a 2.67 ERA and 50 strikeouts.

Gamache led Central Mass. in hitting with a .634 average this spring. He broke the school record for stolen bases in a season with 46 and also contributed 33 hits, 24 RBIs and 26 runs.

Richards was another senior captain for Narragansett. He had a .370 batting average, 14 RBIs and a home run. He was 3-2 on the mound with a 1.78 ERAA and 25 strikeouts.

Brody Bumila named the 2026 Gatorade MA Baseball Player of the Year

Snoonian finished the season with a .422 batting average, 27 hits, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. On the mound, he had a 3.25 ERA and 38 strikeouts. The senior was named a CMAC league all-star for his contributions to the Bulldogs this season.

Yonkers led the Spartans in hitting with a .346 average, totaling 18 hits and 7 RBIs.
