PRICE, Texas (KETK) — The bar has been raised in price, as coach Clay Baker enters year two of his second stint with the Carlisle Indians.

After winning just one game the year before he returned, the Tribe put together a three-round postseason run in 2025, and they are looking for more this season.

While the Indians did lose some experience on the offensive line, their skill players, including quarterback Antonio Ibarra, will be back, looking to stretch the field once again this season.

Before Baker’s return, the Indians fell into a slump on the field, but after one year, he and his staff have taught them how to win, bring pride to the program, and also expectations.

The Indians are one of the favorites to win their district this season, and for Baker and his team, they’re excited to shed the identity of the underdog and embrace getting everyone’s best shot.

Carlisle will open the 2026 season on the road, when they make their way to Mount Enterprise to take on the Wildcats.

The kickoff between the tribe and the cats will take place on Friday, August 28th, at 7:00 p.m. at John Webb Stadium.
