Cardinals Get Major Jeremiyah Love News Ahead of Cowboys Clash
Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love appears to be ready to go for Week 8 after missing some time.
The rookie out of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program sat out the last two Arizona games with an ankle injury, but is expected to make his return to action this Sunday for a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
According to Arizona head coach Mike LaFleur, Love will take the field versus the Cowboys, per Cardinals reporter Darren Urban.
Love has been trending in the right direction toward his availability for the Dallas game this week. After missing three practices heading into Week 7’s game against the Denver Broncos,
Cardinals Rookie RB Love Ready to Go For Cowboys Game
Love was a limited practice participant on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, he was upgraded to a full participant, a great indication of his chances to suit up to face the Cowboys on the road.
Love’s ankle issue goes way into Week 2, and it could be something that he and the Cards will have to manage for the rest of the 2026 NFL season. In any case, he has the green light to play again, and Arizona could potentially see him have his breakout game as soon as Week 8’s Dallas tilt. The Cowboys have one of the most porous run defenses in the league, making them an ideal opponent to face for Love and Arizona’s rushing attack. Through seven weeks, the Cowboys are last in the league with 145.7 rushing yards allowed per game.
The 21-year-old Love has rushed for 90 yards or more just once in the five games he’s played so far in the NFL. Overall, he enters Week 8 with only 245 rushing yards and a touchdown on 67 carries for an average of 3.7 yards per carry.
Bam Knight led Arizona in rushing in the two games Love missed.
