Cameron Boozer Update: Rolling Right Along

It’s still early in the NBA season, but as we have noted, Cameron Boozer is off to a great start. Prior to Sunday night’s game, he was tied for third in the NBA in rebounding with 12 per game. He’s also averaging 16 points and 5.5 assists.

On the downside, he’s not shooting that well, but rookies will be rookies.

Against Sacramento on Sunday night, Boozer wound up with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists, which is essentially right at his averages.

More importantly, Memphis is 3-0.

As for the players who went before him in the 2026 NBA Draft, pick AJ Dybantsa hasn’t played yet due to injury, and the Washington Wizards are 2-1.

The pick, Darryn Peterson, is doing fairly well. He’s getting 12.0 ppg, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. However, the Utah Jazz are just 1-2.

It’s a long season, and things will obviously change, but as of now, Boozer is looking like the pick of the draft.
