Cameron Boozer reveals new number with Grizzlies following NBA Draft

Following the 2026 NBA Draft, Duke star Cameron Boozer hinted at a possible jersey number change, citing his brother’s No. 2 or No. 21, as Ja Morant currently wears his old number, 12. While Boozer could have waited things out to see if Morant would be traded over the summer, he made an official decision on his new number Wednesday.

In a social media video released by Memphis, the Grizzlies revealed that Boozer will don the No. 27 next season. Boozer will become just the third Grizzlies player to ever wear the number and the first since David Roddy in 2023. While it may have zero correlation to his new number choice, Boozer ironically scored 27 points in his final college game against UConn, a 73-72 loss in the Elite 8.
