Bundesliga debutants will have their match-worn shirt feature on trading cards

Have you ever wanted to feature for your favorite club? The next best thing is getting a match-worn shirt of a debutant in the Bundesliga—well a piece of it, anyway—and it could be yours as early as next year:

The Bundesliga and Topps have introduced a ‘1st Start’ Debut Patch. Starting from matchday 1, any player making their very first starting XI appearance in the German top flight will wear a specialized sleeve patch on their shirt. Following the match, each worn patch is authenticated and embedded into an exclusive, 1-of-1 hand-signed Topps relic trading card. The first batch of unique collectible cards containing these debut badges is scheduled for release in Topps Bundesliga Chrome collections in spring 2027.

For those of you who don’t know, Topps is a company that makes trading cards that you can buy and collect. They would sometimes release limited edition cards containing something special like a player’s signature including a piece of said player’s shirt or like a piece of goal net (don’t take this author’s word for that), or maybe three signatures on one card.

With any luck, you could buy a pack of Bundesliga cards by Topps and you could get a signed Tim Binder or Maycon Cardozo card with a bit of their shirt they wore that day, provided they make their Bundesliga debuts for Bayern this season.
