Buccaneers Week 8 injury report: Egbuka out vs. Falcons
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without wide receiver Emeka Egbuka for Sunday’s Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, while running back Kenneth Gainwell and offensive tackle Luke Goedeke are questionable.
According to the Buccaneers’ official injury report, Egbuka was ruled out with a foot injury after being limited Wednesday and Thursday before missing Friday’s practice. Goedeke missed Wednesday and Thursday with a calf injury but returned Friday in a limited capacity.
Gainwell’s participation improved throughout the week despite a hip injury. He did not practice Wednesday, was limited Thursday, and participated fully Friday, although he remains questionable for Sunday’s game.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield (right thumb) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) practiced all three days fully. Neither received a questionable, doubtful, or out designation for Sunday’s game. Yaya Diaby and Josiah Trotter also finished the week as full participants after dealing with illnesses.
Atlanta ruled out running back Brian Robinson with a hamstring injury after he missed all three practices. Eight Falcons are questionable, including linebackers Divine Deablo and Charles Snowden, defensive end Samson Ebukam and cornerbacks Billy Bowman Jr. and Avieon Terrell.
The Buccaneers host the Falcons on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
