Buba Galadima contributes to Kwankwaso’s political setbacks – Kano gov’s aide Bature

The Director-General of Media and Communications to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has accused Engr. Buba Galadima of contributing to the political setbacks of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Speaking during a radio programme in Kano, Bature described Galadima as a “political hanger-on” who has remained relevant by supporting different presidential candidates over the years without making a significant political impact.

He claimed Galadima’s relationship with Kwankwaso had weakened the former governor’s political influence, saying it had reduced his political career to a near nonentity, marked by repeated defections from one political party to another.

Bature also argued that Galadima had failed former President Muhammadu Buhari during his unsuccessful presidential campaigns.

According to him, Buhari only won the presidency after distancing himself from Galadima and forming an alliance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a move he said led to Buhari’s electoral victory and subsequent re-election.

He further alleged that Kwankwaso failed to learn from Buhari’s experience.

“Galadima had remained politically connected to several leaders at the same time, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, President Tinubu and Kwankwaso,” he said.

Bature questioned Galadima’s political strength, alleging that he had been unable to build a solid political base in his hometown of Bade in Yobe State and instead depended on political patronage in Abuja.
