Happy Halloween, Boils and Ghouls, The haunted road trip continues on, and we all simultaneously agree together that we don’t need to discuss what happened on that fateful Thursday night.
Anyway let’s talk about the hell that Conor Bedard has been subjected to.
The Blackhawks are…still pretty bad! There’s some players who might be able to make some noise on their behalf, but ultimately they are once again in for another season of punishment at the hands of Kyle Davidson’s fantastic mind. They are not the pinnacle of being catastrophically bad at everything, but they’re in the ballpark. They don’t even have the fun of a shooting bender keeping this enterprise interesting. It’s just all bad over on Madison Street.
Of course, that doesn’t mean they’re helpless, and Boston sure as s#!t has some cleaning up to do in their own end.
Boston’s last couple of games have badly exposed some issues with the B’s defense being particularly weak in the net-front, and far more worryingly that if the top six isn’t involved in the scoresheet, then the B’s offense is largely dependent on Jimmy Hagens or Mark Kastelic to do much of anything, which I feel is rather unfair given that there are so many other guys who could jump in and so far have had some fits and starts in doing so. Even if the youngs are getting their act together, that’s gotta change. It’s a pretty good chance based on past experience, but you gotta be careful; on a day like today you really don’t want to relax…anything could happen on All Hallow’s Eve.
