Browns ‘Jared Verse Hits Mason McCormick, Steelers With Subtle Jab After Viral Body Slam

The Pittsburgh Steelers got the last laugh over Jared Verse and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, but that did not seem to stop the defensive end from taking shots at the other side.

Verse went viral after he was seen getting slammed to the ground by Steelers guard Mason McCormick during th game.

The video of that moment must have been a pleasure to watch for Pittsburgh supporters, considering the trash talk that Verse unleashed against the Steelers following Cleveland’s 27-24 Week 4 win over McCormick and company.

Browns DE Verse Speaks Up on Steelers Guard After Week 8 Clash

It can be recalled that Verse called Pittsburgh offensive linemen’s play “dirty.”

This time around, it was Pittsburgh that prevailed in the matchup, and in a much more dominant fashion, as the Steelers crushed the Browns at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh to the tune of a 27-6 score.

McCormick was called for a penalty on his move on Verse, who later reacted to it with a seeming jab at his rival.

“That’s just the way that they are, him specifically; that’s the way he plays and that was just lack of awareness on my part. I should have had a better grasp of the type of player I was going up against. That’s just on me.”

Verse doesn’t have to worry about the Steelers anymore this season, unless the two sides cross paths in the playoffs. His next focus will be the New Orleans Saints, who will host Cleveland for a Week 9 game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
