Deshaun Watson has been criticized a ton during his time with the Cleveland Browns, and some of it is self-inflicted by his play.

There’s no debate that Watson was expected to be a much better player in Cleveland and has failed to do so.

The whole Shedeur Sanders thing doesn’t help, either. Sanders has a massive following, with fans all over the world who want him to start over Watson. While that seems to be a bit of a problem, and it could cause issues in the locker room, Watson pretty much admitted that neither of them has any jealousy toward each other, and in fact, they have a great relationship.

“I think from the time he got drafted, the relationships and conversations has been growing, even during the pre-draft. And I’ve known the Sanders family — I’ve known his brother all the way back when he was at SMU. Coach Chad Morris was the coach there. I used to go out there and hang out with the team and his brother was one of the players.

“So, me and his family got a good relationship and, you know, we always just try to pull for each other. So, we both have the opportunity to go out there and put out the best product for the team and let Monken and the organization choose who goes out there, and we’re going to support each other,” Watson said, per the team.

It’s honestly not surprising to hear that things going on aren’t as bad as what some try to make them. Not that anyone has suggested that Watson and Sanders have a bad relationship, but there are always questions when there’s a QB1 job up for grabs.

However, that’s not a problem right now.
