Broncos PFF grades: Best, worst players in loss to Packers
The Denver Broncos snapped their preseason winning streak with a 33-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Friday evening. Following that defeat, here are Denver’s best (and worst) player grades from Pro Football Focus.
Broncos best offensive players
- WR Jaylen Waddle: 86. 1
- OL Matt Peart: 81.5
- TE Justin Joly: 76.2
- RB Jonah Coleman: 75.0
- QB Bo Nix: 73.3
What a debut for Waddle, who looked sharp in a small sample size. Nix also played well and looked healthy in his first game back since breaking his ankle in the NFL playoffs in January.
Broncos worst offensive players
- QB Sam Ehlinger: 29.0
- OT Frank Crum: 36.1
- C Reid Holskey: 43.0
- G Ben Powers: 43.9
- C Calvin Throckmorton: 44. 7
Ehlinger doesn’t seem to be gaining ground on Jarrett Stidham in the backup quarterback competition.
Broncos best defensive players
- CB Riley Moss: 88.8
- LB Taurean York: 82.5
- OLB Que Robinson: 82.0
- DL Zach Allen: 80.5
- OLB Jonathon Cooper: 80.1
Moss left early with a ribs injury and did not return. Denver fans can only hope it’s not a serious injury.
Broncos worst defensive grades
- OLB Dasan McCullough: 29.8
- DL Jordan Miller: 29.9
- ILB Jordan Turner: 33.6
- DL Kristian Williams: 42.1
- CB Pat Surtain: 44.3
Pat Surtain had a forced fumble overturned after review and he later had a big hit on the sideline, but PS2 does appear to be shaking the rust off.
Broncos special teams grades
- ST Que Robinson: 77.5
- LS Luke Basson: 84.5
- KR Kolbe Katsis: 63.1
- P Jeremy Crawshaw: 65.7
- K Wil Lutz: 68.8 (FG) 60.0 (KO)
Redemption for undrafted rookie long snapper Luke Basso, who struggled last week.
