Broncos injury report: 'Too early' to know if LB Levelle Bailey will return

· · 1 min read

After breaking his leg in the team’s preseason opener last week, Denver Broncos linebacker Levelle Bailey remains on the team’s active roster. If he is placed on injured reserve before the team sets its initial 53-man roster, Bailey will be ruled out for the entire season. The fact that Bailey has not yet been placed on IR suggests there might be some hope of the linebacker returning later this year.

“[It’s] too early to say,” coach Sean Payton said when asked after Monday’s practice if Bailey could return in 2026. “I think that’d be tough to answer right now.”

Payton was also asked if the team will add another inside linebacker with Bailey sidelined. “We’ll see,” he said.

Elsewhere on the injury front, linebacker Drew Sanders (unknown), receiver Michael Bandy (unknown), center Alex Forsyth (unknown), tight end Caleb Lohner (knee) and offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo (PUP) also remain sidelined.
