Brewers Reacts Survey Results: Prospect trading chips at the deadline

In this week’s Reacts survey, we asked fans which of the team’s top prospects (non-Jesús Made category) they’d be least willing to trade at the deadline. The results may be somewhat surprising:

The Brewers, who sit at 64-39 atop the NL Central, tend to be very cautious when it comes to dealing prospects at the trade deadline. Since the 2008 blockbuster deal for CC Sabathia (which sent team No. 2 prospect Matt LaPorta the other way, as well as player to be named later Michael Brantley, who ended up being the prize of the deal), the Brewers haven’t made a super splashy move.

If they opt to change the status quo, though, it seems likely they’d need to part with at least one of their top prospects. With Luis Lara and Cooper Pratt locked up, and Jesús Made seemingly untouchable, that leaves four position player prospects up for discussion — Luis Peña, Jett Williams, Josh Adamczewski, and Andrew Fischer.

The results of our poll saw Fischer finish as the player fans would LEAST like to see traded. It’s a surprise in terms of prospect ranking, as Fischer is the only one of those players not in MLB’s top 100 prospects, but it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when you look at Fischer’s stats.

The 22-year-old third baseman was the team’s first-round pick in 2025 (No. 20 overall) out of Tennessee. In his first full season in the minors, he’s appeared in 83 games (between High-A Wisconsin and Double-A Biloxi), and he’s raked his way to a whopping 30 homers, slashing .283/.424/.662. The biggest concern with Fischer comes on his strikeout rate — he’s struck out 123 times in 370 plate appearances. The good news? He’s also walked 66 times.

I’ll quickly give you the 2026 stats on the other three options, too:

Luis Peña (High-A Wisconsin): 38 G, 161 PA, .301/.404/.436, 8 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 18 RBI, 33 R, 22 SB (5 CS)

Jett Williams (Triple-A Nashville): 80 G, 358 PA, .234/.341/.385, 9 2B, 5 3B, 9 HR, 41 RBI, 60 R, 21 SB (4 CS)

Josh Adamczewski (High-A Wisconsin + Double-A Biloxi): 78 G, 333 PA, .319/.435/.549, 20 2B, 2 3B, 13 HR, 57 RBI, 57 R, 13 SB (1 CS)

Looking at that, it makes sense why Williams finished with just 2% of the vote despite being at the highest level in the minors.
