Brentford keen to tie down in-demand Kevin Schade to new contract

According to Sky Sports, Brentford have opened talks with Kevin Schade over a new long-term contract as the club looks to secure the future of one of its standout performers amid growing interest from several Premier League rivals.

The German winger has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, scoring three goals in Brentford’s first five league matches. His contributions have helped the Bees remain unbeaten and climb into the Premier League’s top four, with notable victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Schade has attracted attention from leading clubs for some time, with Chelsea and Spurs previously linked. However, Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to have shown the strongest interest as the summer transfer window drew to a close.

Brentford are therefore keen to reward the 24-year-old with improved terms. Schade entered the final two years of the contract he signed after joining from SC Freiburg in a £20 million move in 2023.

Since arriving in west London, he has scored 25 goals and provided nine assists in 119 appearances. His performances have also earned him a place in the German national team, with Schade recently starting Jurgen Klopp’s first match as Germany manager against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League.
