BREAKING: Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’ dies at 65

Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died.

The actor’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death on Sunday evening during a live session on her Instagram page.

The development comes days after Kira disclosed that her father was battling stage four cancer.

Taiwo Hassan was a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, particularly known for his roles in Yoruba-language movies and his contributions to the growth of Nollywood.

Before his death, efforts were reportedly made to secure medical treatment for the actor. Among those said to have offered financial assistance was the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adeola Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi.
