BREAKING: Newcastle complete £29.5m deal for Benfica star

Newcastle have announced the arrival of full-back Amar Dedić from Portuguese side Benfica.

The deal has been completed for a reported fee of £29.5m.

The 24-year-old, who is a full international with Bosnia and Herzegovina, has signed a five-year contract at St James’ Park.

Dedić is the Magpies’ sixth summer signing and will wear the number 37 jersey at his new home.

He also has previous experience working with head coach Matthias Jaissle over two separate spells in Austria.
