The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Esther Walson-Jack, on Monday disclosed that the office space used by the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, was allocated to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF.

Walson-Jack disclosed that the office allocated to the PFIPC is located at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja.

She made this disclosure while appearing before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the PFIPC controversy and the N1.3 billion allocated to the council in the 2026 Appropriation Act.

On June 11, 2026, President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, denied knowledge of Adeniyi Adeyemi when he presented himself as the Director-General of the PFIPC, which Gbajabiamila claimed was non-existent.

Gbajabiamila said he petitioned security agencies in October 2025 after forged appointment letters surfaced, and Adeyemi was later charged before the Federal High Court with forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.

Reacting, Adeyemi dismissed all the allegations against him, saying he was ready to clear his name in court.

While calling for an independent investigation, President Bola Tinubu ordered a probe into the allegations.

He was arrested, questioned and later released over the PFIPC scandal.
