Bradley Barcola to Keep PSG Shirt Number with Liverpool
Liverpool have made their big signing of the 2026 summer transfer window, bringing in 23-year-old French international left winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal that could be worth up to £125M including add-ons.
As with any big new signing, one of the first questions many will have is which shirt number will the player wear. And on that front, the answer is 29.
Barcola will continue to wear the 29 he used for much of his time at PSG, which he chose as a result of playing the FIFA (now EA FC) career mode known as “The Journey” that was first in the 2017 edition of the game, where you controlled a player named Alex Hunter who goes on to wear the number.
Barcola has previously said as a result he always imagined wearing that number if he made it at the highest levels—and so then picked it with PSG and will continue to wear it with the Reds.
For those looking to get their Barcola kit as quickly as possible, Liverpool’s new left wing star will also continue to have “B. Barcola” on the back of it as he did at PSG.
