Brad Keselowski to speak about future NASCAR plans at Martinsville

· · 1 min read

Brad Keselowski is preparing to provide a major update regarding his NASCAR future. The 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion announced Tuesday that he will address the media during a press conference at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 31, as questions continue surrounding his plans for the 2027 season.

The announcement comes approximately one month after Keselowski and RFK Racing revealed they would part ways following the 2026 season. Keselowski joined the organization as a driver and co-owner in 2022, helping transform the team’s competitive performance. However, disagreements regarding his future role ultimately led to the decision to separate after five seasons.

Keselowski expressed appreciation for the support he has received since the announcement, confirming that he intends to address several questions surrounding his future. “I know there are still questions, and I plan to address several of them,” Keselowski wrote on social media. His press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET and will be streamed through NASCAR’s official website.

The situation became more interesting after Keselowski confirmed that he attempted to purchase RFK Racing outright. However, the offer was rejected by the organization’s other ownership groups, Roush Enterprises and Fenway Sports Group. Keselowski has repeatedly expressed his desire to continue competing in NASCAR, while RFK Racing reportedly wanted him to transition toward a larger competition-management role.

Keselowski has collected 36 victories and one championship throughout his NASCAR Cup Series career. He currently sits 19th in the 2026 championship standings with two races remaining. Although his destination for 2027 remains uncertain, Saturday’s press conference could provide the clearest indication yet of what comes next for the veteran driver.
