Blue-chip cornerback names FSU a top six school

Dayon Cooper is currently the only cornerback commitment that the Florida State Seminoles have in the 2027 recruiting cycle, something that they are working to change. They received some good news on Tuesday, with Kamil Loud naming them one of his final six schools.

FSU will have plenty of competition for the four-star prospect, who is also considering the California Bears, Auburn Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Utah Utes, and Washington Huskies. Loud is from Las Vegas, Nevada, and attends the national powerhouse, Bishop Gorman.

While it will likely be tough to pull Loud so far away from home, the Seminoles will have a shot. He visited Tallahassee back in April, his first time visiting since they offered him a scholarship in January. They are not currently on his official visit schedule, with him set to see Washington (May 29), Arizona State (June 5), and Utah (June 13).

Loud is ranked as the No. 403 overall player and No. 40 cornerback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 3 player from Nevada. He has impressive bloodlines. His father, Kamil, played for the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL before playing in the CFL.
