Bills preview return of Ravens' Lamar Jackson: 'One of the best players in the world'
The Buffalo Bills are gearing up to face Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 8.
The Bills (5-1) will host the Ravens (4-3) on Sunday. Baltimore has started backup quarterback Tyler Huntley three games this season because of an ankle injury Jackson has dealt with.
Jackson missed the Ravens’ last outing but he has practice the entire week ahead of facing the Bills. It looks likely the QB will play in Buffalo and his reputation as a game-changing player precedes him in western New York.
“There’s a reason he’s one of the best players in the world,” head coach Joe Brady said.
A key to stopping Jackson will be the Bills’ secondary performing better. A lot of pressure will sit with safety Damar Hamlin in that regard as he is expected to start for CJ Gardner-Johnson, who is suspended.
Hamlin knows Jackson’s talent from the past.
“We all know who is. He’s a special talent, he’s one of one,” Hamlin said. “You can’t really compare his game to nobody.”
