Bayonne eliminated from Little League World Series

The boys of Bayonne have been eliminated from the Little League World Series after losing 5-2 to Ohio on Tuesday.

Bayonne lost a game on Sunday, meaning the loss on Tuesday night was an elimination game.

Despite playing with so much heart and grit, their dream would come to an end.

“It’s ok. we tried out best. They made it to the world series. That’s all that matters,” classmate Sara Manley said.

“They played their hearts out.They did something no Bayonne team ever did before.They went to the regionals.We’re going to throw them a pizza party here,” owner of Kuhl’s Tavern, Kevin Kuhl said.

Officials say the team’s run has helped to bring the community together and the communities love for the boys has saturated the region.

Bayonne will not take home the trophy but they will come back as local heroes.
