Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey making big impressions in preseason

Sacha Boey is a name most would like to forget. In the most respectful terms possible, he has not lived up to expectations since joining the club. Despite the criticism and doubters, reports are coming out that Boey is making big impressions in the pre-season, despite being clearly told that he’s for sale.

It is not easy to show up and give your best everyday, when your employer is actively trying to move on from you. You can imagine how that would feel even for an average 9-5 job. At these levels, there are complex egos to deal with as well. However, Boey’s ego doesn’t seem to be holding himself back at the moment, it is perhaps excelling him.

Tz’s Philipp Kessler reports that Vincent Kompany has given praise to the Frenchman, but despite the big words from the boss, he remains a candidate for sale. Even though there is in end in sight for the right-back, showing the right attitude will either prove himself enough to stay and fight for a spot under Kompany, or could even help in contract negotiations, should he be sold.
