According to a report from Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven have not made any progress in talks for attacking midfielder Ismael Saibari.

Despite the lack of a breakthrough, there is still hope from both parties to get a deal done soon. The problem might be that the Bavarians want a quick deal, while the Dutch side is content to wait it out until the number is suitable:

As of this evening, there’s still no breakthrough in the negotiations between Bayern and PSV over Ismael Saibari. Talks remain ongoing, with the willingness of all parties to reach an agreement.

Bayern want to close the deal before Morocco’s World Cup opener against Brazil on Sunday. Meanwhile, PSV are not in a rush and want their asking price met. The financial details (base fee, add-ons and payment terms) have yet to be agreed. Everything still points to an agreement

So, what could the hold up be? Well, Saibari figures to play a key role for Morocco at the World Cup and if he has a big tourney, his sticker price could rise for other prospective suitors. If he does nothing, it will not lower, so it is a no risk, all reward proposition for PSV Eindhoven — barring a serious injury to the attacker.

For Bayern Munich, it is just a waiting game and it remains to be seen just how much patience the Bavarians have for this process.
