Bayern and Kane enter second round of contract talks with release clause on the table

· · 1 min read

After initial talks took place weeks ago, Bayern Munich have resumed negotiations with Harry Kane and his camp over a contract extension beyond 2027, according to Sport Bild.

The parties are reportedly in agreement that the new contract will run until at least 2029, while Kane is even willing to sign a longer deal, with the 2030 World Cup with England in his sights.

Both sides are also said to have agreed that Kane’s salary, estimated at around €25 million per season, would not be reduced in the event of a shorter contract, although one current point of discussion is how the financial terms would look if the deal were to be extended beyond 2029.

It is further claimed that the Kane camp is open to including a release clause in the contract, as was the case when the England international joined Bayern on a four-year deal in 2023.

According to reports, Kane was granted a release clause of around €80 million for the summer of 2025 and a €65 million clause for the summer of 2026.

Overall, both the player and the club remain confident of reaching an agreement, with the 33-year-old and his family feeling comfortable in Munich.
