Barcelona star is now the leading scorer in Europe’s top-5 leagues

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Sunday took over sole ownership of the title of the top scorer in Europe’s top-5 leagues this season.

This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana’s meeting with Valencia.

Hansi Flick’s troops are fresh off another absolutely dominant victory this evening, keeping alive a flawless start to the new campaign with a five-goal romp at Mestalla.

Lamine Yamal was on target to the tune of a brace, whilst Fermín López also shone bright yet again with a trio of direct goal contributions.

It was captain and new centre-forward Raphinha, though, whose strike proved the significant one when it comes to the early race for the European Golden Boot.

After slotting home from close range to put Barca three goals to the good early in the 2nd-half, Raphinha took his tally for the La Liga campaign to six goals in just four appearances.

As a result, the Brazilian is now the outright leading goalscorer in Europe’s top-5 divisions in 2026/27.
