Bandits intercepted, stolen cattle recovered in Katsina

A banditry attack in Yartafki village, Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, was foiled after security forces intercepted the suspects and recovered rustled cattle.

The incident, which was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday night by security analyst, Bakatsine, said the bandits had stormed the village earlier and made away with livestock.

According to the post, security operatives quickly moved into action after receiving information about the attack and intercepted the criminals before they could escape far with the stolen animals.

During the operation, one of the suspects was neutralised, while the stolen cattle were successfully recovered.“The swift intervention led to the recovery of the cattle and disruption of the criminal activity in the area,” the post stated.

The operation was described as a quick and coordinated response that prevented further losses and restored calm in the community.
