‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Officially Takes Over WWE for a New Marvel Crossover

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are about to go head to head with some of the most powerful superstars in the world in one of the most unexpected crossovers we’ve seen to date. The worlds of professional wrestling and superhero movies have always had plenty of crossover, from larger-than-life characters and ridiculous feats of strength to spectacular rivalries that can seemingly only be settled by somebody getting thrown through a table and while John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and Dave Bautista have all made the leap from the squared circle to Hollywood, this time, Hollywood is coming to WWE.

WWE and The Walt Disney Company have officially announced an Avengers: Doomsday-themed edition of Worlds Collide, taking place on December 15, 2026, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida. That night, Worlds Collide will receive its Marvel makeover, with WWE bringing together talent from its main roster, NXT, and Mexican wrestling promotion AAA for an event themed around Avengers: Doomsday, and the crossover will arrive just three days before the movie’s December 18 theatrical release. Perhaps Super Cena will take on Doctor Doom?

WWE Is Also Launching the ‘John Cena Classic’

The two-day event will begin on Monday, December 14, with the first-ever John Cena Classic, a special edition of Monday Night Raw that will stream live on Netflix. It’s massive, because it’s the first time ever two editions of Raw will air on the same day. This will feature established WWE Superstars from Raw and SmackDown competing alongside rising talent from NXT, with fans ultimately deciding who deserves to be named the night’s top performer. Members of Club WWE, the company’s recently launched fan membership program, will be able to vote in real time for their favorite Superstar performance, with the winner receiving the evening’s top honor. Fans interested in participating can register through WWE’s official website.

Additionally, WWE and Fanatics are hosting a two day WWE World experience at the complex which will have tons of merchandise, activations and opportunities for fans to meet their favorite WWE Superstars via signings, photo sessions and more.

The John Cena Classic takes place December 14, followed by the Avengers: Doomsday-themed Worlds Collide on December 15, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida. Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters December 18, 2026.
