Aurelien Tchouameni: United ready to meet Real Madrid’s asking price

Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is edging closer to a move to Manchester United, according to reports.

Earlier today, The Athletic claimed that United are “ready” if Real decide to sell Tchouameni. It is understood Los Blancos would prefer to make sales before funding further arrivals, and United have held talks to ascertain their stance.

Now, a report suggests United are at an advanced stage of securing the services of Tchouameni.

According to Bernabeu Digital, the sale of Aurelien Tchouameni is “progressing rapidly”, with Real Madrid now considering signing his replacement.

It is claimed Tchouameni’s move to Manchester United seems closer than ever to becoming a reality.

The Premier League giants are reportedly prepared to meet Real’s financial demands to land their “dream” target.

However, the Spanish outlet underlines that it will ultimately be the player’s decision that determines whether or not the deal goes through.

Real, meanwhile, consider Tchouameni’s departure as a distinct possibility, and “in recent hours work has already begun on identifying his replacement.”

The Spanish powerhouses are keen on signing Manchester City’s Rodri to replace the Frenchman, having been left impressed with the Spaniard’s performances at the World Cup.

A separate report revealed that Tchouameni would command a similar fee and salary to Casemiro, who left Real for United in a £60m up-front deal on wages of £350,000 a week in 2022.
