Atletico Madrid agrees Kang-in Lee deal
According to AS, Atletico Madrid has reached an agreement to sign Kang-in Lee from Paris Saint-Germain.
The South Korean international is set to move to the Spanish capital in a deal worth €40 million. The package is expected to include €35m as a fixed fee and another €5m in variables.
Lee is set to sign a five-year contract with Atletico Madrid, with only the official announcement still missing. The agreement would bring the 25-year-old back to La Liga, where he previously played for Valencia and Mallorca.
Atletico Madrid has been looking to strengthen its attacking options this summer, and Lee’s versatility makes him an attractive addition for Diego Simeone. He can play as an attacking midfielder or from the right, giving Atletico another creative option in the final third.
Lee joined PSG from Mallorca in 2023 and became a useful squad player for the French champion. However, the chance to return to Spain now appears to have pushed the move forward.
If completed, the transfer would be one of Atletico Madrid’s major summer additions as the club looks to refresh its squad ahead of the new season.
