Aston Villa emerges as January loan option for Endrick

Aston Villa is emerging as a possible January loan destination for Endrick, according to Cadena SER’s Francisco José Delgado.

Roma and Lyon are also options. The report says Champions League participation could help the Premier League club’s chances as the Brazilian considers another temporary move.

Foot Mercato notes that Endrick has played only four minutes under José Mourinho this season, against Elche on September 15, after missing the opening four league games with a muscle injury.

That report credits him with eight goals and eight assists in 21 appearances during his earlier Lyon loan. The contrast in playing time helps explain why another spell away from Madrid is being discussed.

His previous loan offers a useful example of what regular opportunities can bring. Endrick quickly settled at Lyon and scored a hat-trick against Metz in January, becoming the club’s youngest player to score three times in a Ligue 1 match.

By early February, he had five goals and two assists from six appearances in all competitions. His agent, Tiago Freitas, said at the time that a return to Real Madrid was part of the plan, despite the encouraging start in France.

That experience followed an unusually rapid rise in Brazil. He signed his first professional contract at 16 after progressing through the Palmeiras academy. Endrick scored 21 goals in 82 appearances for Palmeiras and won two Brazilian league titles before moving to Madrid in the summer of 2024.

Lyon highlighted his speed, technical quality and finishing when announcing the earlier loan. Those strengths would give an interested club a young forward with experience in several demanding competitions.

For any new move, the proposed role will be important. Endrick has already benefited from a loan that brought regular involvement, and the next destination would need to offer a convincing route back into the starting lineup.
