Arsenal handed Endrick boost as Real Madrid make transfer decision
Arsenal may have received an encouraging transfer boost, with Real Madrid increasingly open to allowing Endrick to leave on loan in January if his lack of first-team football continues.
The 20-year-old has struggled for minutes since returning from last season’s loan spell at Lyon. Arsenal were linked with him again only recently, with reports suggesting they remain interested in adding another young forward to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
TEAMtalk reported that the Gunners were keen on exploring a January deal as Endrick’s representatives prepared to discuss his situation with Madrid.
Endrick could reconsider Real Madrid future in January
According to Diario AS, Endrick has managed only four minutes in La Liga so far this season and could seek another loan if his situation does not improve before January.
Roma remain particularly interested after coming close to signing him during the summer.
AS reports that José Mourinho personally convinced Endrick to stay in Madrid after promising opportunities, but those chances have been difficult to find amid competition from Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and other attacking options.
Endrick’s previous loan shows what regular football can do for him. He spent the second half of last season at Lyon, where he rebuilt momentum strongly enough to earn a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad. He has remained involved internationally this month and started for Brazil against Australia during the September break.
Arsenal have already tested Madrid’s position before. The Gunners made an approach for Endrick, while Mourinho was reluctant to lose him at that stage.
This is good news for Arteta and Arsenal
They were recently linked with Endrick but faced a Real Madrid side determined to keep him. If Madrid now accept that another temporary move could be better for his development, Arsenal have a genuine opportunity to revisit the situation.
Endrick would not need to arrive as the automatic first-choice striker. He could provide Arteta with another explosive attacking option while continuing his development in a high-level environment.
The challenge would be convincing Madrid that Arsenal can guarantee enough minutes. Roma can probably offer a clearer starting role, and that could be decisive.
Still, compared with the summer, the situation has shifted in Arsenal’s favour. A January loan now looks far more realistic than it did only a few weeks ago.
