Arsenal gets tempting approach for one of the players they want to sell

Arsenal want to sell Gabriel Martinelli this summer, although the Gunners would have no problems keeping him in their squad. They have now received an approach for his signature, however, which could allow them to consider his future.

The Brazilian could start the season behind summer signing Christos Tzolis, and if the Greek winger performs well, he could keep his place in the team until the end of the season.

Martinelli has been part of the Arsenal team for almost a decade and has been one of the top players in the squad, but his goal output has not been as good as he or the club would have wanted.

Martinelli could not displace Leandro Trossard, who has now left the club, and he may struggle to displace Tzolis as well. Arsenal could therefore cash in on him, with Football London reporting that Galatasaray have now approached the Gunners over a potential deal.

The Turkish side are searching for attacking reinforcements to help them retain their dominance in their domestic league, and they see Martinelli as a top player to add to their squad during this transfer window.

The approach could give Arsenal another decision to make regarding the Brazilian. Although the Gunners are prepared to keep him, they may also consider selling if they can find an agreement that suits their plans.

The report says Arsenal will search for a replacement first before they entertain Galatasaray’s interest. The Gunners would therefore need to strengthen their attacking options before allowing Martinelli to leave the club.

This approach is particularly important after Arsenal missed out on adding Vinicius Junior to their squad during this transfer window. The club would not want to weaken their attack without securing another option to fill the space created by Martinelli’s departure.

For now, Martinelli remains an Arsenal player, but the approach from Galatasaray could lead to further discussions. Arsenal must decide whether his future remains in north London or whether the time has come to move on from the Brazilian after almost a decade with the club.
