Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2025, questions they face and their roster outlook.

Here is linebacker Karson Sharar.

Sharar is a rookie. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round out of Iowa.

He played five years at Iowa. Last season, he had 83 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Sharar signed his four-year rookie contract. It is worth more than $4.7 million. He received a signing bonus of more than $328,000. His salary cap hit in 2026 will be more than $967,000 and his salary will be $885,000.

Sharar had a hamstring injury during the spring, so we will see if he is healthy and can stay healthy in training camp.

He is not a lock for the roster, but is in a battle with Austin Keys and Owen Pappoe for a spot in the inside linebacker room behind roster locks Mack Wilson, Cody Simon and Jack Gibbens.

Sharar will have to prove himself on special teams, something he intends on doing.
