Arizona Cardinals place S Joey Blount, TE Kenny Yeboah on injured reserve

· · 1 min read

The Arizona Cardinals announced a pair of roster moves on Saturday, ending the season for two players. They placed safety Joey Blount and tight end Kenny Yeboah on injured reserve.

Blount did not play in the team’s first preseason game. Missing almost all last season with a neck injury, he had a stinger in practice and apparently it was serious enough to end his season.

He has been a special teams stud for the Cardinals since joining the team in 2023.

Yeboah played in the preseason opener on Thursday and apparently got hurt.

Both players, if they had stayed healthy, had good chances to make the 53-man roster.

The Cardinals will make corresponding moves to fill those roster spots, but they have not been announced.

Yeboah hasn’t played since 2024, as he suffered an injury last August that landed him on IR then.
