Archbishop Wood takes win over CB South in football opener

IVYLAND — Senior D’Andre Webb ran for 292 yards and three touchdowns to help lead Archbishop Wood to a 35-17 win over Central Bucks South in the opening game for both sides Friday night at Willam Tennent.

Webb had two of his touchdowns in the first half and then closed the scoring with a 76-yard rushing score with 22 seconds left to play.

The Vikings defeated the Titans 39-28 in 2025 and finished the season 4-7. CB South ended up 5-5 a year ago.

The Titans host Downingtown West on Sept. 4 (7 p.m.).

The Vikings face La Salle on Sept. 12 (1 p.m.) at William Tennent.
