Voting in the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election to select candidates for the 2027 House of Representatives race has commenced across in various wards across Lagos State.
The Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee in Lagos State, Saleh Yipmong, has urged polling officers to uphold transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to electoral guidelines throughout the exercise.
Yipmong issued the directive as electoral officials and materials were dispatched from the APC Lagos State Secretariat to different polling locations across the state.

Meanwhile, a strong turnout of party members was recorded at Ward H1, which covers Wards A and B in Victoria Island, where the primary election is underway.
At the polling centre located at Government Senior College, Victoria Island, voting had not yet commenced as at the time of filing this report, with party members currently undergoing registration and accreditation ahead of the exercise.
The primary election is being conducted to produce the APC’s 24 candidates who will contest the House of Representatives seats in Lagos State during the 2027 general elections.
