Andrew Friedman on Tarik Skubal trade: ‘There’s nothing that we did that no one else couldn’t have done’

Once this offseason comes and the collective bargaining agreement expires on December 1, there will be a lockout in Major League Baseball. Owners will use the Dodgers’ spending and winning as a cudgel to try to advance their proposals.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman pushed back against criticism of the team’s latest move, acquiring ace Tarik Skubal for three players on Sunday.

“It just seems like there’s always blowback with us,” Friedman said. “There’s nothing that we did that no one else couldn’t have done.”
