An American man will play for a Grand Slam on Sunday, the country’s first since 2003. The semifinals haven’t even happened yet, but we know an American is headed to the U.S. Open finals and tickets are still available if you want to see it in person.
Ben Shelton and Francis Tiafoe will face each other in the 2026 U.S. Open semifinals on Friday, Sept. 11. One of them will advance to the finals, which are scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon. An American man has not won a tennis major since Andy Roddick in 2003 at the U.S. Open, which means we could be gearing up for an historic final match.
Tickets to the U.S. Open from the men’s Semifinals to women’s singles final and, of course, the Men’s singles finals are still available. Prices are starting at $582.

Get men’s singles finals US Open tickets
The matchup is not set yet. The men’s singles semifinals will take place on Friday, Sept. 11 starting at 3 p.m. at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Alexander Zverev from Germany will face Karen Khachanov from Russia in the first semifinal matchup. Then, the two Americans, Ben Shelton and Francis Tiafoe will face off in primetime at 7 p.m.
The winners will advance to the men’s finals on Sunday.
